Image Processing Workstations

The Advanced Imaging unit has several image processing workstation computers with specialized software for image analysis and processing. The high amount of RAM allows manipulation of bigger and heavier data sets.

Imaris | Reservation

This workstation will has a newer version of Imaris (v 9) installed. This software package makes working with data in 3D a lot easier and less expensive timewise, it allows to measure and perform analysis, processing, tracking, 3D reconstruction and rendering, animations, etc, all in 3D, as opposed to ImageJ/Fiji or Huygens which are not as intuitive and easy to use when it comes to 3D analysis and processing.

This workstation has the Huygens deconvolution software installed, which allows robust image processing and deconvolution.

This workstation is dedicated to simple or less demanding image processing task that require or can be performed in software packages like ImageJ/Fiji, Leica LAS AF Lite, Icy, Ilasktik, etc. that do not require big processing resources.

The DeltaVision workstaion is equiped with the Applied Precision software SoftWorx, similar to the Deltavision microscope software, which can be used for image processing and deconvolution.
